The Immigrant Women Association of Manitoba, Inc (IWAM) has been serving immigrant, refugee women and their families for over 30 years. We are a non-profit organization led by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by the membership.
IWAM is a community-based agency that provides a friendly atmosphere where immigrant and refugee women receive the understanding, support, and resources they need to make informed decision about their lives.
IWAM assist immigrant, refugee women and their families integrate smoothly as equal partners in Canadian society by providing them with information, referral services and access to other community and government services.
IWAM is here to help immigrant and refugee women, not only women but their families as well. To integrate as one, to over come obstacles, to fight for our rights as immigrants, taking risks, working hard and standing together. We need to say NO to hate, sexism and racism. As we are all human-beings and should be treated equally: both women and men; of any every race!
